About this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how [Entity name] ("Game of Splits," "we," "us" or "our") handles information when you visit gameofsplits.fun or docs.gameofsplits.fun, connect a wallet, play the games, contact us or otherwise use the Game of Splits interface (the "Site").
[Entity name] is responsible for information handled by services under its control. You can reach us at [contact email].
The Site is noncustodial. We do not control your wallet, hold your keys or assets, or send transactions for you.
The short version
- We set no cookies.
- We run no analytics, ad trackers or tracking pixels.
- We do not sell or rent personal information.
- There is no account, sign up form or password. Your wallet is how you connect.
- Our host keeps standard server logs, such as IP address and browser type.
- Anything you do onchain is public on Robinhood Chain and cannot be deleted by anyone.
Information we collect
What we handle depends on how you use the Site. A wallet address or transaction can count as personal information if it can be linked to you.
- Wallet and blockchain information. Your public wallet address and public onchain activity, such as your Fair Pass lock, seats taken, arrows fired, Outlaw Camp rounds, auto play outlaw budgets, Purse payouts and transaction hashes.
- Server logs. When your browser loads the Site, our host Vercel records standard request data. This includes IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, the referring page, the time of the request and approximate location derived from IP address.
- Messages you send us. If you email us or message us on X or Telegram, we receive your handle or email address and what you write.
- Local settings. Small settings, such as sound on or off or which spirits you have seen in the bestiary, may be kept in your browser's local storage on your own device. We do not receive this data.
We do not collect your name, home address, phone number, payment card details, government ID, private keys or recovery phrases.
Sources of information
We get information from your browser when it loads the Site, from public blockchain data on Robinhood Chain, from RPC providers that read that data for the Site, and from you directly when you contact us.
How we use information
- Show the games, clocks, seats, Purses, leaderboards and your own pass and play history.
- Prepare transactions for you to review and sign in your wallet.
- Run the keeper, which reads public chain data and calls the contracts to settle rounds.
- Keep the Site secure, stop abuse and fix errors.
- Apply our Terms, including the Restricted Regions rules.
- Reply to your messages.
- Meet legal duties.
We do not use your information for advertising or profiling.
Legal bases
Where the law needs a legal basis, we handle information to provide the Site you asked to use, for our legitimate interest in running and securing it, and to meet legal duties. We do not rely on consent for tracking, because we do no tracking.
Blockchain information
Robinhood Chain is a public blockchain. Wallet addresses, transactions, contract events and game results are public by design and may stay available forever through nodes, explorers and other independent services.
We cannot edit, hide, reverse or delete anything recorded onchain. Disconnecting your wallet or sending us a privacy request does not remove past onchain activity. Public leaderboards and logs on the Site, such as the seat log, past sheriffs or latest arrows, show wallet addresses taken from public chain data.
Cookies and browser storage
The Site sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking tools. Because of that, we do not show a cookie banner.
The Site may use your browser's local storage for small settings on your device. Your wallet app or browser extension may also store its own data under its own policy. You can clear local storage at any time in your browser settings. Some settings will reset when you do.
If we ever add cookies or analytics, we will update this policy first and ask for consent where the law requires it.
How we share information
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
The Site relies on service providers who handle some information to make it work.
- Vercel hosts the Site and keeps server logs under its own privacy policy.
- RPC providers for Robinhood Chain receive requests from your browser or our servers to read chain data and pass on transactions you sign. They may see your IP address and wallet address.
- Your wallet provider handles your connection and signing under its own terms.
- Font and asset providers, where the Site loads them, may receive your IP address as part of a normal web request.
We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect players or our rights, to look into abuse or security problems, as part of a business reorganisation, or when you ask us to.
Third party services and the ecosystem map
Wallets, Robinhood Chain, smart contracts, X, Telegram and the third party projects on our ecosystem map are run independently of us. We do not control their privacy practices. Please read their policies before you use them. Links on the ecosystem map take you to sites with their own rules.
Retention
We keep offchain information only as long as we reasonably need it to run and secure the Site, settle disputes, apply our Terms and meet legal duties.
Vercel keeps server logs for a limited time under its own retention settings. Messages you send us are kept until your request is handled and for a reasonable period after. Onchain records stay forever and are outside our control.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect the systems we control. No website, wallet, smart contract or network is completely secure, and the game contracts are unaudited at launch.
We will never ask for your private key, recovery phrase or password. If you think something on the Site has put your wallet at risk, contact [contact email].
International processing
We and our service providers may handle information in countries other than yours, which may have different data protection laws. Where the law requires it, we use suitable safeguards for these transfers.
Your rights and choices
To make a privacy request, email [contact email] with what you are asking for and the wallet address or email address we should look up. We may need to check that the request is really from you.
We will not treat you differently for using a privacy right. Some rights have legal limits, and nobody can change onchain records.
- Browse public pages without connecting a wallet.
- Disconnect your wallet and clear local storage whenever you like.
- Ask for access to, correction of, deletion of or a copy of offchain information we hold about you, where your local law gives you that right.
- Object to or limit some processing, where that right applies.
- Complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
The Site is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you think a child has given us information, contact [contact email] and we will delete what we can.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Site, our providers or the law change. The effective date at the top shows the current version. We may announce major changes on the Site, at x.com/gameofsplits or in our Telegram.
Contact
Questions, privacy requests and complaints can be sent to [Entity name] at [contact email].
